Q&A

     Hair Care

Q: How often should I wash my hair?

A: WE GET ASKED THIS THE MOST!!!!! Of course, there are the Google answers, and then there are the answers we’re told to give by product companies to sell more shampoo. But here’s our take: You can shampoo your hair daily if you want or once a week if you want—AS LONG AS you’re using the right products and it's not impacting your hair’s overall condition or your scalp health.

Q: What are the best products for dry/damaged hair?

A: How long have you got?????? Short answer: There are many products for dry and damaged hair. But before recommending anything, we need to figure out why your hair is dry or damaged. Is it from heat styling? Chemical treatments? Environmental factors? Your hair’s texture, density, and how often you style it all play a role. Also, there’s a difference between dry and damaged—one doesn’t necessarily mean the other. The best thing you can do? Talk to your stylist to create a routine tailored just for you.

Q: How can I protect my hair from heat damage?

A: Easy. HEAT PROTECTOR!!!!! Want to see if it works? Spray one side of a piece of bread, then put it in the toaster… Seriously!

Color Services

Q: How long does hair coloring take?

A: Ugh… As long as it takes.

Q: How often should I touch up my roots?

A: Personally, I recommend:

Grey coverage: 4–5 weeks

Tint regrowth touch-up: 5–6 weeks

Scalp bleach : About 8 weeks

Foils: 10–12 weeks, depending on how blended it is

Q: What’s the difference between balayage and foils?

A: Foils usually provide more coverage and an overall lighter look. Balayage, on the other hand, is a technique where the hair is lightened and blended into a darker base as seamlessly as possible. This is where cost comes in—it’s not as straightforward as just putting in foils and toning.

 Haircuts & Styling

Q: How do I choose a haircut that suits me?

A: First up—anyone can have any haircut or hairstyle! It’s your attitude that pulls it off, not just the cut or style. CONFIDENCE IS KEY.

That said, if you want the technical answer, it comes down to knowing your face shape and choosing styles that complement it. Other factors like neck length, eye shape, and (the big one) LIFESTYLE also matter. A haircut might look amazing, but if you don’t style it or can’t put it up for work/gym/life (as an example)  is it really the right cut for you?

Your stylist will walk you through all these factors to find a style that enhances your best features. If you’re curious, check out this face shape hairstlye guide to get an idea of what might suit you!
